In their last game of the season Currie had some measure of satisfaction in avenging the defeat to Ayr in the Cup. Running out comfortable winners 25-12 it was good to see the home side 'blooding' some stars for the future.

Although the lead changed several times it was Ayr who made it through to the quarter-finals with a last gasp penalty to give them a 24-21 victory and left Currie to return home empty handed.

Currie made a great start at Anniesland to take an early lead and turned round 3-22 to the good against Glasgow Hawks. Once again the visitors came under pressure but unlike last week they hung in to record a 16-22 win.
