Commercial Opportunities With Currie RFC

Our corporate partners want to see tangible benefits for their support of Currie RFC. Accordingly we have structured the opportunities available into those that allow Entertainment of important customers and/or loyal staff and those that promote your business to a wider audience through Advertising. Obviously some of the packages available provide elements of both. We are keen to facilitate networking between all our various sponsors by encouraging attendance at matches and events and by creating website links to all from our website.

If you have not heard about this successful community-based BT Premiership Division 1 rugby club, then here’s a brief history: the club was founded in 1970 thanks to a group of like-minded individuals in Currie (on the west side of Edinburgh) who simply wanted to play rugby. Their eager spirit and early successes soon flowed and the team entered the official leagues of the day. The rest, as they say, is history, and over 30 years later Currie plays in the top flight of Scottish club rugby where it has remained since the new Premiership was established. In addition, the club is renowned for the quality of its youth development programme and also its friendly clubhouse atmosphere.

The advent of the professional game and scarcer funds, makes it harder than ever to sustain this success both on and off the field and we are writing to offer you the chance to help us by participating in our Annual Shirt Sponsorship Prize Draw. The first prize would see your business name/logo have pride of place on the front of the First XV’s jerseys for season 2006/07, and the draw can be entered for a ticket price of only £200. Details of other benefits in the “Magnificent Seven” prize packages and an application form are on the attached sheets. As the winner of the draw, your company would be promoted on the 1st XV strips, have 2 pitchside adverts, a full page programme advert, 11 pre-match lunches for 2 with complimentary match tickets, team sheet sponsorship and a fixture card advert for the season 2006/07.

This year an extended prize list is offered, a “Magnificent Seven” opportunity, where your company logo could be advertise din Seven separate areas. All non-prize winners receive one pre-match lunch for 4 with match tickets, as well as having your name listed as a sponsor on the Currie RFC website for season 2006/07.
